Agency fees
If you are buying your home through an estate agent, they will charge you fees of between 6% and 8%.
Unlike in the United Kingdom, there are no hard and fast rules in France about who pays the estate agent fees. It’s something the buyer and seller/vendor will need to agree between them. Whatever is decided, make sure you get it in writing.
